General Conditions of Sale

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are valid for all orders placed on the website www.jideco.ch operated by Jideco and govern the relationship between Jideco (hereinafter "Jideco" or "We") and the buyer (hereinafter "Customer" or "User" or "You"). Any regulations diverging from these conditions, as well as agreements made orally or by telephone, must be expressly accepted by a Jideco Employee and in writing to be valid.

1. Preamble

These General Conditions of Sale (GCS) define the terms and conditions applicable to any purchase made on the website www.jideco.ch . They establish the rights and obligations between the company Jideco and its Customers.

  • 1. Identity

The website www.jideco.ch is published by the sole proprietorship “Jideco par Deborah Millet”, a sole proprietorship whose registered office is located at Nyon 1260, Route du Boiron 35.

  • General Conditions of Sale

These T&Cs apply to all transactions carried out on the website www.jideco.ch between:

  • We (Jideco company) and
  • You (the Customer or User).

By confirming an order on www.jideco.ch , the Customer acknowledges having read these General Terms and Conditions and accepts them without reservation or restriction. If the Customer does not accept these conditions, he is invited not to use the site or place an order.

  • Applicable Modification of the General Conditions of Sale

Jideco reserves the right to modify or adapt the T&Cs at any time and without notice. These modifications are immediately applicable to all orders placed after the update date indicated at the top of the page.

The terms and expressions used in these T&Cs have the meanings defined below, whether used in the singular or the plural:

  • General Conditions of Sale (GCS)

Means this document, including the terms and conditions that govern the contractual relationship between Jideco and You , the Client or User.

  • Purchase order

Refers to the purchase order issued by the Customer for one or more Product(s), validated via the Website or Customer Service.

  • Website

Refers to the site accessible at the address www.jideco.ch

  • Product

Means any item offered for sale on this Website.

  • Customer/User or You

Means any natural person of legal age (aged at least 18) acting as a consumer and using the Website to order one or more Product(s).

  • Data Protection Policy

Refers to the cookie management and personal data protection policy, available on the Website.

  • Workshop Showroom

Refers to the premises operated by Jideco, located at 35 Route du Boiron, 1260 Nyon , dedicated to storage and shipping management. This location also allows the collection of orders via the “Pick up at the Showroom in Nyon” option, provided that the items are available in our stock. Showroom visits are possible by appointment only.

The consumer and user benefit from the following rights in the event of non-conformity of the product, in accordance with Swiss legislation, according to Chapter II Tit. IV Book II of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users:

  1. Repair : If the product has a manufacturing defect or does not correspond to the order, Jideco will recover the product at no cost to the customer.
  2. Replacement : If the repair is not possible or is unsuccessful, the customer may request a replacement of the product, also free of charge.
  3. Price reduction or termination : If, after repair and delivery, the product remains non-compliant, the consumer may request a price reduction or terminate the contract.

Jideco cannot be held responsible for defects or damage caused by improper use of the products, incorrect storage, or use not in accordance with the instructions provided by the Customer. Therefore, no returns will be accepted or supported by Jideco.

Jideco complies with legal obligations regarding environmental responsibility. As a responsible company, we are committed to using environmentally friendly materials and promoting sustainable practices in the management of our products. We also encourage recycling and responsible management of end-of-life products.

Jideco is committed to contributing to environmental protection by supporting reforestation projects in Switzerland. For every order placed on our site, a partnership with a local entity called Almighty Tree takes place, dedicated to planting trees. Each purchase thus allows us to actively participate in the reforestation of our region.

We believe that small actions can have a big impact, which is why we are committed to promoting sustainable practices in all our operations. We are also committed to using environmentally friendly materials and encouraging recycling.

  • Applicable legislation

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, the competent court will be that of your domicile, unless otherwise provided by law. The parties agree that the procedure will be conducted in French, in compliance with applicable local legislation.

Jideco reserves the right to contact the Customer by email to inform them of the various stages related to their order, in particular:

  • Order Confirmation : All documents relating to the order, summarizing the order number, shipping and billing information, the contents of the items ordered, as well as the total value of the purchase will be sent to the customer. They indicate all stages of the order processing progress.
  • Shipping Confirmation : This document provides a summary of the items shipped, along with the tracking number and estimated delivery date. It is important to note that some items are available in our Workshop Showroom stock, and other products will be available only from our suppliers. If the Customer's order contains two different stock locations, the shipping costs will be combined and will only be charged once.
  • Quality Monitoring : Jideco places great importance on customer satisfaction. We would like to gather your feedback on the quality of the products and services provided, as well as on the handling of your shipment, in order to better meet your expectations. Your feedback is valuable and helps us improve our services.
  • Newsletter : If the Customer consents and subscribes, Jideco reserves the right to send newsletters regarding its new products, special offers and promotions. The Customer may unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link provided in each email.
5. Products: Indications, Availability and Warnings
  • Product Description

Jideco is committed to clarifying that slight differences may occur regarding the shades, colors, and shapes of the products. We cannot be held responsible for any potential discrepancies. The images on our site are not contractual and are for informational purposes only. Variations may also occur due to differences in computer screens and brightness settings.

  • Jideco's Commitment

We make it a point to test, film, and promote some of our products to demonstrate their quality and authenticity, in accordance with our values. These videos and photos, available on www.jideco.ch as well as on our social networks, are non-contractual and remain the exclusive property of Jideco. Any use of this content is prohibited without our prior authorization.

Jideco reserves the right to modify its product offering at any time, by adding new items, modifying its categories, or discontinuing certain products without prior notice.

  • Product Indications

We are committed to offering products from responsible, environmentally friendly, and committed brands. All product information and technical descriptions are provided by our suppliers and should be reviewed before confirming your order.

The Client is invited to take note of all necessary information, such as:

  • Price
  • Dimensions and weight
  • Colors
  • Materials
  • Features
  • Expeditions
  • Care instructions

This information must be accessible before the order is validated, so that the Customer can cancel their purchase if necessary.

  • Product Prices

The displayed product prices do not include VAT. Jideco is not subject to VAT for sales below CHF 100,000. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer for purchases up to CHF 200 for interior design products and up to CHF 2,000 for furniture. If a Customer purchases multiple products from different stocks, shipping costs will be combined into one purchase.

Product prices are subject to change at any time, but the price applied will be the one in effect at the time of the order. The total cost of the order will always be communicated before final validation of the order.

  • Product Availability

Although Jideco makes every effort to ensure the availability of the products displayed, the products offered on the site are subject to stock availability. If a product becomes unavailable after ordering, we will inform the Customer by email and offer a solution (return or refund).

Shipping times may vary between 1 and 4 weeks depending on available stock.

If the delivery time exceeds 8 working weeks, we will offer a similar product, without a price increase, which the Customer can accept or reject.

We are putting in place the following information to inform the Client about the deadlines:

  1. Immediate availability : The product is available in our Showroom in Nyon, 1260 and can be collected from our Stock Showroom free of charge or shipped within 48 working hours for a flat rate of CHF 7.90. Some products are not immediately available in our Showroom stock in Nyon, 1260 but are available from our supplier. The shipping or collection time is extended to a maximum of 4 working weeks, subject to product availability. Given the size of our storage space (30m2), we can ship the furniture directly from the supplier's stock to your delivery address.
  2. Out of stock products : When products are out of stock, they will be indicated as "Out of stock" on the product page. Some products may be available for pre-order, and will be shipped to you once they are in stock. We will inform you of the status by email or phone. The shipping time will be specified once the product is restocked.

Please note that some items are available in our Showroom inventory, while other products will only be available from our suppliers. If the Customer's order contains two different storage locations, shipping costs will be combined and charged only once.

  • Warnings

Jideco makes a point of providing clear and detailed product information, including precautions for use. However, it is the customer's responsibility to follow product safety and maintenance instructions.

  1. Furniture Products : To ensure safety, especially when children are present, we recommend that you read the furniture instructions carefully and ensure everyone's safety by avoiding tip-overs and serious injuries. In addition, Jideco recommends insuring the furniture in case of possible damage.

In order to preserve the furniture, we advise you:

  • Always read the supplier's user manual and safety recommendations.
  • Avoid placing a heavy object on a piece of furniture not designed for this purpose.
  • Protect windows or mirrors from any scratches.
  • Use suitable cloths/wipes and natural products for cleaning.
  • Check whether the furniture is protected with varnish, and if not and you wish, adapt the varnish to the type of wood of the furniture.
  • Heavy objects should be placed at the bottom of the furniture and not at the top to avoid tipping.
  • Check the stability of the furniture depending on the room.
  • Check the dimensions of the furniture to ensure it fits your room.
  • Do not allow children to play on the furniture to ensure safety.
  • Be careful when installing the furniture, avoid tripping, slipping or injury.
  1. Candles & Scents We recommend respecting all safety instructions relating to AFNOR and CLP regulated candles as well as all safety instructions provided for the safety of all by avoiding reactions to the products and/or risks of fire, serious injuries, for example.

To preserve your indoor candles, we recommend:

  • Read the safety data sheets carefully.
  • Always trim the wick between 0.5 and 1cm before each use.
  • Light your candle for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 3 hours.
  • If you extinguish your candle before the entire surface is liquid, it may hollow and you will lose hours of burning time.
  • Extinguish your candle by smothering it with a candle snuffer, do not blow on it, or do so gently.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Burn a candle out of reach of children and pets.
  • Never light your candle near a flammable object.
  • Always leave 7 cm between 2 lit candles.
  • Use a suitable candle holder or tealight holder; candles liquefy as they burn.
  • Do not use liquid or alcohol to extinguish your candle.
  • Your scents should not be within reach of children.
  • Recycle contents in appropriate bins.
  • Be careful when installing the object, avoid tripping, slipping or injury.

To preserve your indoor scents and keep the air clean at home, we recommend:

  • Do not use these home fragrances too often to limit exposure to chemicals.
  • Use them outside the home the first time: this is the first time you use them.
  • Read the labels carefully regarding the composition of the products and the precautions for use.
  • Air the house for 10 minutes a day, morning and evening.
  • More generally, limit the use of risky products at home: organic compounds are emitted by air fresheners but also by household products, paints, furniture glues, etc. It is the accumulation that can be dangerous.
  • Keep out of reach of children and animals.
  • Recycle contents in appropriate bins.
  • Be careful when installing the object, avoid tripping, slipping or injury.
  1. Interior Design: Jideco recommends carefully reading the instructions for decorative items and ensuring everyone's safety by avoiding serious injuries, especially to children. In addition, Jideco recommends insuring the item in case of possible damage.

In order to preserve interior decoration items, we order:

  • Read the supplier's technical instructions carefully.
  • Properly fix the decoration, photograph, frame, mirror or any object that must go on a wall and do not place any additional weight on it.
  • Protect your decorative objects from heat, fire, sun and humidity.
  • Protect your children and/or pets from objects that can be chewed, nibbled on, or pose a risk to the health and safety of your children and/or pets.
  • Clean textiles according to the instructions given by the supplier, namely respect the authorized cleaning method and the recommended temperature.
  • Do not clean with chemicals but use natural products as well as wipes that prevent any scratches, scuffs or dust deposits on the object.
  • Always check whether decorations, dishes and ceramics can be cleaned in the dishwasher using the supplier's technical data sheet.
  • For your own safety and that of those around you, always turn off the electricity before installing a light fixture.
  • Be careful when installing the object, avoid tripping, slipping or injury.

Before each use, the Customer must ensure that the assembly is adequate, that the installation is correctly carried out and that the instructions have been followed for long-term use.

Jideco is not responsible for any injuries or damages caused by improper installation, use or failure to follow the above recommendations.

5. Purchasing, Commitment and Delivery Process
  • Creation of Customer Account

Jideco offers, on its website www.jideco.ch , a registration platform for the creation of a Customer Account. Registration is mandatory to be able to place orders on this site. The Customer undertakes to provide complete and accurate information during registration. In case of doubt about the authenticity of the information provided or if the identity seems suspicious, Jideco reserves the right to delete the Customer's account and cancel the order. It is imperative that the Customer is of legal age and capable of contracting, and that they place their order with full knowledge of the facts.

When creating their account, the Customer chooses a username and password. It is recommended to use a password of at least 8 characters, including numbers and symbols. This information must remain confidential. In the event of a request to block the account, Jideco may proceed with this action upon simple request from the Customer. This account will allow the Customer to consult the summary of their orders, the status of shipments and other useful information concerning the contract concluded with Jideco. By creating an account, the Customer also accepts Jideco's Data Protection Policy.

  • Cancellation or modification of the order

To cancel a confirmed order, the Customer must submit a request via their customer area as soon as possible, before the order is processed or shipped. They can also contact Jideco by email or via the website's contact form, specifying their identity and the order reference. Any changes to the delivery address or any other specific requests must be made as quickly as possible.

Any order cannot be cancelled once it has been prepared or shipped, and after sending the shipping confirmation.

  • Order confirmation and receipt

Jideco recommends that the Customer save or print a copy of their confirmed order. The order reference is crucial for any change requests or for efficient order management by Jideco. After order confirmation and payment, Jideco will send an email containing the order confirmation.

  • Order Billing

When placing an order, the total price and shipping costs will be displayed. The order must be paid in full before the products are shipped. The Customer will receive the invoice by email, which will also serve as order confirmation. Invoice history is accessible in the Customer Area, under the "Invoices" section of their user account.

  • Payment Terms

Jideco offers several payment methods for ordering, ensuring transaction security.

Credit or Debit Card

Payment can be made immediately via our bank's secure SSL payment gateway. In case of cancellation or return of the order, the amount will be refunded to the same card. The Customer's personal and banking information is protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act. 3D Secure technology, via "Verified by VISA" or "MasterCard SecureCode", guarantees the security of transactions. The Customer will be redirected to their bank's website for further verification before returning to our site to finalize the payment.

Bank Transfer

Payment can be made by bank transfer to the Jideco bank account (Santander). The Customer must provide their name and order reference. If the order is not paid within 7 days, it will be automatically cancelled.

PayPal

Payment is made via PayPal, and the money is only debited after the order has been validated. A PayPal account is required to use this payment method.

KLARNA

Payment can be spread over three monthly installments, with easy access to this option during order confirmation.

TWINT

Payment by Twint is only possible during a visit and spontaneous purchase in our Showroom.

  • Shipping the order

The order will be delivered to the address provided by the Customer at the time of purchase. It is recommended to verify the accuracy of the delivery address before confirming the order. Jideco will send an email when the order is ready and shipped, containing the tracking number and a summary of the products shipped.

  • Delivery of the order

The Customer must check the condition of the package and packaging before signing the delivery slip. No signature should be affixed without inspecting the package and verifying that everything is in order.

  • Delivery conditions

Deliveries are made only within Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Deliveries are made against signature and are delivered to the customer's door. Jideco recommends that customers residing on upper floors arrange for a delivery service.

The Customer has a maximum of 14 working days to report a delivery that has not taken place in order to notify the carrier of the impact.

  • Delivery times, prices and methods

Jideco offers several delivery options in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, with rates in CHF. Details of shipping options and prices are available on the website.

Shipping from our Stock Showroom : All shipments will be sent by post with a tracking number sent to the Customer, and against signature within 48 working hours if the product is available in stock. Shipping costs are CHF 7.90. We offer free delivery from CHF 200 of purchase for all interior decoration products (excluding furniture). *Free delivery from CHF 200 of purchase.

Shipping from our Supplier Stock: Furniture (which unfortunately cannot be stored in our Showroom in Nyon) will be shipped no later than 4 working weeks after your order is placed. Shipping costs vary depending on the value of your order:

Orders up to CHF 300: shipping costs CHF 45

Orders up to CHF 600: shipping costs CHF 90

Orders up to CHF 800: shipping costs CHF 120

Orders up to CHF 1000: shipping costs CHF 150

Orders up to CHF 1200: shipping costs CHF 180

Orders up to CHF 1,400: shipping costs CHF 210

Orders up to CHF 1600: shipping costs CHF 240

Orders up to CHF 2,000: shipping costs CHF 300

*Orders over CHF 2,000: free delivery

6. Returns and Withdrawal Policy
  • General Law for the Defense of Consumers

In accordance with current legislation, the consumer and user have the right of withdrawal. This right allows them to terminate the contract within a maximum period of 14 calendar days* without having to provide a reason and without incurring any costs, except for those provided for in articles 107.2 and 108 of RD1/2007 of 16 November, which approves the Revised Text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users (TRLGDCU).

Terms :

  • The Customer has 14 days to withdraw after receiving the product.
  • The product must be returned in its original condition and in its original packaging .
  • The consumer must inform the seller of his decision to withdraw (for example, via form or email).

The Customer has a maximum of 14 working days to report a delivery that has not taken place in order to notify the carrier of the impact.

  • Cancellation or modification of the order

To cancel a confirmed order, it is imperative to submit a request via your customer area before the order is processed or shipped .

Once the order has been prepared or shipped and the shipping confirmation has been sent, it will no longer be possible to cancel it.

  • Right of refusal applicable

Refusing delivery due to damage

If you notice any visible damage to the outer packaging of the package upon delivery, we recommend that you refuse the goods and take a photo of the package. Please inform Jideco of the situation immediately. We are committed to delivering your products in perfect condition and will take responsibility for any product damaged during transport, even if the damage is not caused by Jideco.

If, after unpacking, you find that the product is damaged, you have the right to return the goods, at our expense. To do so, you must inform Jideco by email, mentioning the order reference and the product concerned. A return slip will then be sent to you.

The product must be returned for a refund. Remember to indicate "subject to unpacking" on the shipping document. This is essential for any claim regarding a product damaged during transport.

Return of package due to incorrect delivery address and delays

Customer Responsibility for Incorrect Address

Jideco cannot be held responsible if delivery fails due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer. In this case, we reserve the right to contact you by phone or email to reschedule a new delivery.

Return after several unsuccessful attempts

If the package is returned to our premises after several unsuccessful delivery attempts, we reserve the right to restock the goods and credit the customer, subject to deducting the transport costs incurred by Jideco, including the transport costs offered at the time of purchase.

Tips to avoid delivery errors

We recommend that you carefully check the information provided when ordering and update your contact details via your customer area before shipping your order. We also recommend that you provide a contactable telephone number for the carrier to facilitate delivery.

Responsibility for delivery delays

Jideco cannot be held responsible for delivery delays due to external events such as bad weather, accidents, strikes, etc.

Right of return following an error in a part ordered by the customer

If an error was made by the customer when ordering (for example, an incorrect choice of product or an incorrect reference), it is possible to return the product, provided that:

  • The product is in its original condition and in its original packaging.
  • The return request must be made within 14 days of receiving the product.

In this case, the return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Jideco recommends double-checking the information before finalizing the order to avoid this type of error.

Right of return following a delivery error (product received in error)

If you receive an incorrect or different product than the one you ordered, you have the right to return the product. In this case, the return shipping costs will be borne by Jideco.

To do this, you must:

  • Inform Jideco by email, mentioning your order reference and the incorrect product.
  • A return slip will be sent to you, and you must return the product in its original packaging.

We promise to return the correct product to you as soon as possible, at no additional cost to you.

7. Warranty
  • Legal guarantees
  • Warranty Period: Products purchased on www.jideco.ch are covered by a 2-year legal warranty from the date of delivery. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and hidden defects, as well as any other product failure occurring during this period.
  • Declaration of lack of conformity: The user must inform Jideco of any lack of conformity within 2 months from the date on which he became aware of it.
  • Scope of warranty: The warranty is valid from the date of purchase, as indicated on the purchase invoice.
  • Jideco may consider extending the warranty or offer a customized warranty based on specific conditions and products.
  • Warranty Exclusions
  • The warranty does not cover the following defects or damages:
  • Consumable products (e.g. batteries, bulbs, etc.).
  • Unprofessional or incorrect installation of the product.
  • Modifications or manipulations not authorized by Jideco or third parties.
  • Misuse (e.g. use outside the conditions specified in the user manual).
  • Damage due to external causes , such as power surges , fires , accidents , or bad weather .
  • Normal wear and tear or deterioration due to improper handling of the product, improper storage or incorrect use.
  • Return and repair procedure
  • Warranty Returns: In the event of a defective product covered by the warranty, the customer must immediately contact Jideco customer service to request a return authorization number (RMA). This return must be made within a reasonable time after the discovery of the defect.
  • Packaging and Protection: The returned product must be in its original condition and returned in its original packaging, or in a sturdy and protected packaging. It is imperative that the product is well protected with materials such as bubble wrap or foam to prevent any damage during transport.
  • Customer Responsibility: If the product arrives damaged due to insufficient or inadequate packaging, Jideco reserves the right to refuse warranty support.
  • Customer-led repair: If the customer wishes to carry out the repair on their own, they must obtain prior authorization from Jideco and follow the specific instructions provided by customer service.
  • Spare Parts Warranty: For durable products, Jideco is committed to providing technical support and a spare parts inventory for at least 5 years after the end of a product's production. Parts required for repairs will not increase in price during this period.
  • Indirect damage
  • Jideco shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages, such as loss of profits, revenue, data, or any other damages resulting from the use of the product.
  • Force majeure: Jideco cannot be held responsible for delays or failures to fulfill its obligations in the event of force majeure, such as bad weather , strikes , accidents , or any unforeseen event beyond its control.
  • Independent Examination: In certain cases, Jideco reserves the right to have the returned product examined by an independent expert. If the cause of the failure is proven to be related to misuse or a defect attributable to the customer, the customer will have to bear the cost of the expert assessment.
